What is a condensing boiler? When a condensing boiler is operating at peak efficiency, the water vapor produced condenses back into water – hence the name condensing boiler. This condensation of gases releases the latent heat given off whenever the vaporization of water takes place. These two processes combine to create the high efficiency of the Burnham condensing boilers. The Burnham Freedom CM exceeds 95% AFUE Insert ratings and dimensions information from back page of brochure here along with photo as indicated on page 3

Want hot water fast? A Tankless water heater avoids heat losses associated with storage water heaters because they heat water directly when you call for it. Typically, tankless systems provide hot water at a rate of 2-5 gallons per minute with gas fired heaters producing a higher flow rate than electric. According to one study, in homes using less than 41 gallons of hot water a day, a tankless water heater can be 24%-34% more energy efficient than conventional storage tank heaters. The same study shows they can be 8%-14% more energy efficient for homes that use a lot of hot water per day, around 86 gallons. By installing a tankless hot water heater at each hot water outlet your energy savings can increase to 27%-50%.
